The Role: Intermediate Environmental Scientist – Field

We are recruiting for an Intermediate Environmental Scientist, based out of Calgary, who will focus on planning and execution of client field programs to meet asset retirement obligations.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) and associated reporting
  • Planning and conducting Phase II ESAs including; drilling, soil sampling and groundwater monitoring
  • Interpreting analytical laboratory results
  • Analyzing and interpreting collected information and writing technical reports
  • Budget tracking and contractor management
  • Assist with development and execution of remedial projects
  • Planning and completion of reclamation activities
  • Coordinate and complete vegetation management and Detailed Site Assessments

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree or diploma in science or land reclamation
  • 5 plus year’s experience with environmental site assessments, soil sampling, groundwater monitoring, site remediation and reclamation
  • Registration with a professional organization as either a professional or in-training an asset
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills, communication skills and technical writing skills
  • Able to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and independently
